2024 Annual Meeting of the Sleep Medicine Specialty Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association
The 2024 Annual Meeting Of The Sleep Medicine Physician Branch Of The Guangdong Medical Association Was Successfully Concluded The clinical academic event shines in Guangzhou, and medical experts explore and foresee innovation. On July 2024, 7, sponsored by the Sleep Medicine Professional Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association and hosted by the Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University, the two-day Annual meeting of the Sleep Medicine Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association It ended successfully in Guangzhou. The conference specially invited well-known sleep medicine experts from home and abroad to give speeches and academic exchanges on topics such as the frontiers of sleep medicine progress and comprehensive internal and external surgical treatment management strategies, in order to promote the high-quality leapfrog development of my country's sleep medicine industry through the joint efforts of all parties. On July 7, Dr. Cheng Hanrong from Shenzhen People's Hospital gave a special lecture on improving the compliance of PAP treatment in OSA patients at the sleep monitoring technology special session. With the rapid economic development of the fast-paced and high-pressure modern society, the incidence of sleep disorders is increasing. OSA, as one of the important sleep disorders, seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Epidemiological data from 2020 show that the prevalence of OSA in people aged 30 to 69 in my country is 23.6%, with a total of 1.76 million people suffering from the disease. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is currently the first-line treatment for OSA. Its goal is to relieve apnea and hypopnea, correct blood oxygen saturation, improve sleep structure, reduce daytime sleepiness, improve daytime function and quality of life, reduce the incidence and mortality of related complications, and reduce medical costs through non-invasive sleep apnea. However, the efficacy of CPAP has long been limited by patient compliance, and patient compliance varies greatly in various studies (ranging from 46% to more than 80%), and there is still much room for improvement in acceptance. At the meeting, Director Cheng gave a keynote report on how to improve PAP compliance in three major areas: technological innovation, data analysis, and remote monitoring. In particular, remote monitoring can be combined with modern AI technology and interpersonal interaction to achieve medical services such as remote consultation, online education, and digital management, and adopt intervention and desensitization programs for some groups, reduce anxiety, and improve disease awareness, so as to further help patients get through the CPAP treatment adaptation period and improve compliance.

Remote Monitoring-SunnyGrand Natr™ Series SunnyGrand Natr™ series sleep apnea machines innovate remote management, actively promote the digital industry ecosystem, and work with upstream and downstream industries to jointly realize the application of remote monitoring technology in treatment compliance management, and achieve full sleep monitoring and management from hospital to home.
Sleep is not only a medical problem, but also a serious social problem. Sleep apnea can directly lead to long-term hypoxia, increased negative chest pressure, and sleep structure disorders, which is potentially dangerous. Faced with the high risk of disease, high incidence, high social burden, low awareness rate, and low diagnosis and treatment rate of sleep apnea, it is urgent to attract the attention of the whole society. In the future, SunnyGrand will continue to delve into domestic and international Internet frontiers such as artificial intelligence, big data algorithms, and cloud computing. Relying on technological innovation and focusing on technology-driven development, it will reshape the clinical diagnosis and treatment of sleep breathing, build new clinical developments in sleep medicine with AI, digitalization, and scenario-based approaches, and work with clinicians to continuously launch sleep breathing ecological solutions that are more suitable for "home + hospital". |
